Due to the weather, Tuesday Night BMX Racing is cancelled. We will have Pit Bike racing next week. Next Monday is labour day, so there won't be any gate practice, but we will see you next Tuesday (weather permitting) for Tuesday Night Racing.

It was a beautiful August night and the racing made it better. Last night's race results are now posted. Now a message from our President, Andy MacDonald, "Are you jealous of those half-trackers that get a candy bag at the end of their motos? Do you have a bike with 16 inch or smaller wheels that you can borrow from your little sister? Come on out for the Pit Bike races at Ridge Meadows BMX. All Pit Bike racers must register in the regular class racing, no additional entry fee for the Pit Bike race. Candy bag to all Pit Bike racers! Pit Bikes must have 16 inch or smaller wheels, be in proper working condition and have flat pedals, no clip pedals please." Last, but not least, GOOD LUCK to all our riders making the trip to Airdrie, Alberta for the Canadian BMX National Championships. We know you'll make us proud.

Monday Night's Gate practise is on.
Holy Smokes!!! That was some racing over this past weekend. Friday night's Double point race, Saturday's BC CUP #6 and Sunday's BC CUP #7 brought the wow factor up a notch and kept the spectators thoroughly amazed. Quite a bit of close and entertaining racing...thanks to all who raced. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out over the weekend, we couldn't have done it without you!!! O.K. Daddio!!! Well Friday's triple point race went off under great conditions. The weather was beautiful and the racing exceptional. 100 riders took part in the T-shirt give-away...thanks to all who raced. On Saturday, the skies turned nasty and we were only able to get off a One Moto Transfer; however, the riders bore down and showed what true BMX grit is. On Sunday, the weather eased up and we raced full motos and DADDIO what races they were. Many close races brought oohs and aahs from the crowd. Congrats to all riders and thank you for the exciting races. Also, thanks to all the volunteers who helped out over the weekend, we couldn't have done it without you!!! Special thanks to Andre Volkow, our phenomenal announcer, not only for calling the races so exceptionally well, but for his kind donations of Organic Bananas and Yogurt Drinks. The track has been completely rebuilt in a new 3 corner shape. A nice new
rock free top layer has been added to the entire track and the corners have
recently been paved. The track is ready to rock!

Another great night of racing at Ridge last night. Too bad the Canucks didn't do as well, maybe next year. Last night's results are now posted. This Saturday (May 15) is the make up session for the cancelled Team Canada / Team BC BMX Training Camp at Abbotsford BMX. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you haven't signed up previously, you can still attend for a cost of $75. This would be a great way to tune up for the Western Nationals later this month, or to build your skills for weekly racing.
